Following her studies at the Netherlands Hanze University of Applied Sciences, where she received her Bachelors Degree in Business and Economics, Maureen Josef worked for a large European fashion retail chain, with hundreds of locations across Europe. During her 10 years with the company, Maureen Josef became Head of Buying, and a Member of the Board of Directors.
During this initial period, Maureen Josef followed a Master’s Degree in Marketing, Nima C, designed for top level executives. This was the catalyst for Maureen, which inspired her to create her own Fashion Design and Production Company, first in Hong Kong, established in 1997.
Since being first established in Hong Kong, the company has expanded to include offices in Shanghai, Amsterdam, and Florence, with production facilities in Asia and Europe. From the beginning, and going forward, the focus of the company is placed on the design and production of tailored garments for men and ladies, serving leading global fashion brands, exporting millions of pieces per year under ODM/OEM.
In addition to her ODM/OEM company, Maureen founded her own fashion label D-VA Concepts. The label, with distribution in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Japan, and Amsterdam, has garnered coverage on Fashion TV, been featured in international newspapers and on social media, and widely publicized in collaboration with celebrities throughout Asia and Europe.
Throughout her career, Maureen has successfully hired and coached junior and senior team members, to excel and elevate their own individual careers.
On behalf of the Hong Kong Dutch Chamber of Commerce, Maureen participates as a Mentor for the organization’s Mentor programme, supporting young professionals to achieve their career goals.
Maureen is currently participating in an International Coaching programme, in conjunction with her long term goal, to help professionals succeed in becoming a better version of themselves.
